Thursday, December 18, 2008 Somewhere between jelly beans, the movie "Cars" and a little prodding we had a fantastic session with this little guy. He was full of expression...and quick as lightening!

Tuesday, November 25, 2008 I made a very quick trip to Arizona last week to photograph a long-time client with her 4 month old boy. Yeah, he really couldn't be ANY cuter. And so mellow! He's definitely an angel baby! I can't wait to see him again later this winter for his "sitting up" portrait!

Friday, October 31, 2008 Driving to Parker for this session I was a little concerned. Without an opportunity to scope out the location beforehand I was relying on my clients connection to the place they had chosen. I had no idea if the light would be good or the setting ideal. As I approached their home, the first thing I see is their youngest peaking out the window. He had blonde hair coifed into a mini mohawk. Love it, I think to myself. Then I think "OK, if he smiles the session will go great. If he screams and runs, I'm in for it." His little hand suddenly jets up in the air waving fervently and he breaks into a large, honest grin! Ah, this is going to be fun!
Tuesday, October 28, 2008 I am a little out of the loop right now as Apple has held my studio computer hostage. I get it back tonight thank goodness and will soon put up some recent portrait sessions. I have a few really great ones to share.
In the meantime, I just read this article about raising a happy baby and loved it. It's definitely worth the read. When you have about 15 minutes to spare....
Wednesday, October 22, 2008 Laura, omg! I got the photos and they are AMAZING!!!! They made my day literally. We had a tough night, Henning and I. Listen, those photos are AWESOME. First of all, I love love love the one where henning is on the bed and Steve and I are out of focus in the background. I also LOVE the one where I am holding Henning in the doorway. I really do! I have to have that blown up. It is so peaceful. What size should I do? Canvas or a print to be framed?
I can't believe how little he looks! I am SO GLAD to have these photos!!!

Monday, October 20, 2008 I have been working on a "Year in the Life" album for this little guy. I came across this image and fell in love with it again. Maybe it's the simplicity or the look in his eyes or that I wonder what he's thinking. He's only a few days old and it's all so new.
Thursday, October 16, 2008 I'll admit I'm a sucker for laughing in my portraits. It just gets me every time. So maybe only dad is looking at the camera, to me this is the quintessential family portrait. It shows warmth, love, fun...all the things you want your children to remember later in life.
